For Arataki Honey it is important to support local community initiatives and to offer assistance for local school visits and events.

In particular we are committed to making sure the next generation of New Zealanders have the opportunity to appreciate the wonder of the honey bee. We host over 100 class visits and 13,500 children each year. Our staff take personal pleasure in sharing their knowledge and experience with them.

We also proudly sponsor the Hawks Basketball team and the Kids Can - Foundation for Youth Development.

Since the late 1990s Arataki Honey has made vital contributions to the health and comfort of the Malaysian Sun Bears at the Wellington Zoo.  Also known as the 'honey bear' Sun Bears get their name from the yellowish, rising sun mark on their chests and they love to eat honey!
